Emmanuel Bible College Job Description Enrolment Advisor General Description This is a full-time position which is directly related to marketing with some administrative duties. Supervision Sherry Mahon, Director of Admissions, Emmanuel Bible College School Expectations • Departmental Meetings • Graduation Ceremonies and Banquet • Look-In Days • Planning Days • Meetings with Supervisor • Vacation schedules handed in Responsibilities • To recruit the highest calibre students of all ages in and outside of Ontario • To professionally represent the college through a variety of functions, including conferences, college tours, church relations and camp meetings. • To promote the college and Christian higher education • To follow up with students who have started the application process to assist in increasing completed application statistics • To develop and maintain relationships with Guidance staff in high schools. • To build relationships and encourage Pastors and Youth ministry workers, with particular attention given to supporting denominations and churches. • To provide general support to the Director of Admissions including follow-up with select prospective students, mailing, database entry especially when the Director is not in the office. • To assist or oversee planning for on campus recruitment events. • To provide reports and trends on recruitment statistics to the Director of Admissions. • To work within, and be responsible for, allotted budgets. • To meet regularly with the Director of Admissions. • To develop marketing plans for assigned regions. • To meet with Advancement Team members when necessary. • To attend relevant training seminars and conferences to further understand the unique role of recruitment and admissions. • To assist in any marketing assignments as required. • To keep a thorough log of contacts, regions visited, the success of those appointments, conversations and to follow up with those contacts. Additionally, record all conference/tour stats in relevant folder. • To seek out new opportunities through networking, drop-ins and personal research for new conferences, camps and tours that we may attend. • To be available to drive student ministry teams as required. • To assist the Director of Admissions by carrying out Entrance Interviews when necessary • To book events, tours and conferences that the Director has approved for the recruiter to attend and to assure any travel/hotels are arranged prior to the dates of engagement. • To assist in training, mentoring and overseeing student recruitment staff for any public relations events • To make travel arrangements for car rentals and flights as necessary Required Skills & Experience • Outstanding communication skills • Warm, friendly and outgoing personality • Superior public relations and public speaking skills • Strong telephone skills • Excellent computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, databases and graphics) • Self motivated • The ability to relate to people of all ages individually and in groups • Strong understanding of group dynamics • The ability to organize and facilitate events • Ability to write and edit communication pieces • Manage time efficiently while working with minimal supervision • Ability to support a team • Must have valid driver’s license and their own reliable vehicle • Familiar with social media Policy Manual The policy manual contains policies of EBC and procedures and should be referred to for clarification of policies and procedures. The goal of this agreement is to identify what may not be covered in policy manual and draw attention to certain sections of the policy manual as it pertains to your department etc. Evaluation Ongoing evaluation will take place thought meetings with supervisor regularly. The goal is to give monthly feedback and do midcourse corrections as needed. At the end of every term a written evaluation will be completed with supervisor and any recommendations given to Presidents office or ALT.

Responsibilities

Emmanuel Bible College invites applicants for the full-time position of Enrolment Advisor. The Enrolment Advisor will serve Emmanuel by recruiting high caliber new students as he or she travels to venues, primarily within the province of Ontario with some out of province travel as needed. The successful candidate will be a people person who is highly self-motivated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Emmanuel and Christian higher education, and is able to communicate clearly both to individuals and to groups in a variety of settings. Other duties include developing relationships with high school guidance staff, churches and youth group leaders and offering Emmanuel resources and information.
