Important Update from the Board of Governors

July 20, 2020

Dear Emmanuel Community,

This year has been one of change, challenge, and uncertainty. We are grateful to the students, employees, and supporters of Emmanuel Bible College for demonstrating resilience and commitment, thus enabling the school to continue carrying out its important kingdom work even under these difficult circumstances. We wish at this time to reaffirm the previously announced plan to offer Fall 2020 classes online and to explore options for in-person learning as the public-health situation develops.

While looking forward to another September with new students joining our community, we are also saddened by an important change that will be taking place at Emmanuel. We regret to announce that as of August 17, 2020 we will be moving forward without the leadership of Dr. Stephen Roy, having fulfilled his three-year term as president and dean. Since coming to Emmanuel in 2000, Dr. Roy has served with distinction and has made immeasurable contributions to the College. The Board wishes to express deep thanks to him for his excellent teaching and leadership over the last twenty years and especially during these last three. He will be greatly missed.

The Board is currently searching for a new president for the College. Future updates will be made available on our website and social-media pages.

We offer again our thanks to everyone in the Emmanuel community and invite you all to join us in praying for the future of the school that is so close to our hearts.

On behalf of the Emmanuel Board of Governors,

Peter Mumford
Chairman
