Website Hope Harbour Centre

Empowering you to live your best life!

Overview:

Hope Harbour Centre aims to empower individuals and families to overcome challenges and lead fulfilling lives. With a compassionate and dedicated faith-based team, the Centre strives to create a safe and welcoming environment for all who seek assistance. Whether facing hardship or seeking growth and development, Hope Harbour Centre is committed to providing the resources and support needed to help individuals and families thrive.

As we witness an increasing demand for mental health support, we seek a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our team who can offer individual and couples therapy online and by phone. Associates work as contractors at Hope Harbour, so you can focus solely on your therapeutic practice without the stress of managing a business or marketing.

As a Psychotherapist at Hope Harbour Centre, you will report directly to the Clinical Director, Pamela Young. With over 15 years of experience as a Psychotherapist and CRPO Supervisor, she is passionate about supporting her colleagues in providing the highest quality of care possible. Pamela is always down for a good laugh, but don’t let her sense of humour fool you – she’s fiercely passionate about supporting her team in providing top-notch care to our clients. Not only is she a compassionate and collaborative leader, but she’s also a big believer in ongoing professional development. Working under Pamela’s leadership can provide valuable mentorship and support as you build your career as a Psychotherapist.

We are excited to welcome someone who shares our values and will help us continue providing quality care to those who need it most.

Responsibilities:

  • We want you to bring your unique set of skills and expertise to the table! With a warm and empathetic approach, welcome our clients with open arms and assess their individual, couple, or family needs with care and consideration.
  • Work with individuals and couples, using evidence-based, culturally-informed approaches to help them achieve their goals
  • Lead clients from the very first consultation call through to the end of their journey, helping them grow and thrive along the way
  • Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to help clients navigate challenges such as grief and loss, life transitions, relationship difficulties, trauma, and maintaining healthy emotional lifestyles
  • Empower clients with communication and conflict-resolution skills that foster strong and healthy relationships
  • Show off your amazing writing skills by submitting clear and concise reports within strict timelines, if required
  • Keep track of client files and documentation following our Hope Harbour Centre procedures
  • Manage your schedule, communicate with clients, and complete intake forms
  • Join our team meetings to share your progress and challenges – we’re all in this together!

Qualifications:

  • You must hold a valid license to practice the controlled act of Psychotherapy in Ontario – we want you to be legit
  • It’s important to us that you obtain and maintain registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and keep up-to-date with all legal and regulatory obligations.
  • You should also have professional liability insurance
  • We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience working with individuals and couples. We want someone who has been around the block a few times!
  • If you have training in specific treatment modalities like CBT, DBT, EFT, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Marriage and Family Systems Therapy, or EMDR, that’s a huge plus!
  • We need you to have access to a private session space to ensure client confidentiality, a reliable internet connection, and a computer with a camera for virtual sessions. Technology is our friend!
  • Finally, we’re looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of a one-year contract after completing a 90-day probationary period. We want to ensure we have a reliable, stable team member dedicated to providing excellent care for our clients.

Benefits:

  • Work from the comfort of your own home with a flexible schedule that fits your life and priorities.
  • Enjoy a fully electronic platform (JaneApp) for video sessions, charting, and scheduling that makes it easy to manage your clients and focus on what you do best.
  • Get your name out there with a professional profile listed on our website and other platforms like Medimap.ca, giving you exposure and opportunities for new clients.
  • Get the support you need to focus on your practice with administrative and marketing support, including Google Ads and opportunities for cross-referrals, so you can focus on doing what you love.
  • Access to Psychology Tools, a comprehensive resource with 400+ Information Handouts, Worksheets, Exercises, Audio Resources, Guides, Books, and Chapters, all designed to help you provide the best possible care to your clients.
  • Gain valuable insights into your clients’ needs with Greenspace Health Assessment Tools, which provide automated client-reported data to help you better understand your clients and make informed decisions that improve outcomes.
  • Get creative with Canva profile, a tool that allows you to design your own worksheets and resources for your clients, making your practice truly unique and personalised.

And, of course, being part of the Hope Harbour Centre team means you’ll have the support and camaraderie of a group of like-minded professionals passionate about helping others. Even though we may not have a physical office to connect in person, we’re all about building a strong and supportive virtual community where we can learn, grow, and connect with one another.

If you are passionate about making a difference and want to join a dynamic and innovative team, we want to hear from you! Please submit your resume and cover letter for consideration to pamela@hopeharbourcentre.com.
