POSITION:  PASTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES

Description:

Owen Sound Alliance Church, a member church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada, is an active and growing church of 300+ attendees in the city of Owen Sound, located in Grey County, Ontario.  Our vision is that all will be Called to be like Christ, united under His Lordship, sent to make Him known, with a mission that every man, woman, and child in Grey and Bruce will hear the gospel and through our fraternity of churches push that vision on to the global context.

With that in mind, we are seeking an enthusiastic, spiritually mature individual to join our staff team as full-time Pastor of Student Ministries.  This individual, working 40 hrs per week, will be responsible to oversee and provide leadership for student ministries (ages 12 – 18), communicating the Word of God, building community and equipping students and student-leaders for ministry assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Recruit, develop, and deploy a Student Ministry team.

·         Coordinate, develop, and implement a vision for Student Ministries, which will harmonize with the church’s vision and mission.

·         Prepare and administer the budgets for Student Ministries each year.

·         Guide regular evaluation of ministry programming on the basis of the overall vision and keeps the ministry focused on strategic priorities.

·         Uphold the standards of Plan to Protect within the ministries.

·         Deploy all programming aspects of Student Ministries.

·         Will communicate the Word, build community and equip student leaders and student for ministry.

Key Qualifications:

·         Possesses at least a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized theological school.

·         Maintains licensing with a District of the Christian &Missionary Alliance in Canada or capable of such.

·         Seeks personal alignment with the Christian & Missionary Alliance Vision Prayer.

·         Models the lifestyle of a Spirit-filled, biblically grounded, relationally healthy Christian leader.

·         Possesses the experience and gift mix to match the key responsibilities of the role.

·         Loves people and models true servant leadership.

·         Cultivates relationships with people who are far from God.

·         Believes in and lives out the vision and core values of the church.
