Sunday School Teacher

A paid Sunday School teacher is needed at St. James’~Rosemount United Church. SJR is located at 171 Sherwood Avenue Kitchener ON.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who enjoys working with children ages 11 and up. We can provide a curriculum to use as a launching off point to engage tweens while creating safe space for discussion, support, exploration, etc. We are hoping for closer to a “youth group” rather than a school classroom setting (ie mix of bible stories/games/play based learning/relationship building).

Our Sunday School runs during the church service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and you’ll roughly have the children for 30 mins each Sunday. This position begins as soon as possible, and continues through to mid-June. Required time would be 1-2hr/week depending on planning and setup time. A vulnerable sector police records check will be completed for successful applicants.
