The Pier Christian Church is part of the larger Be In Christ Church of Canada. Our mission is to follow Jesus together, living and loving like Him. The role of Youth, Kids and Tech Ministry Intern is a staff role. As such, you will be part of the ministry team at the Pier.
The Youth, Kids and Tech Ministry Intern position at The Pier is a part time position. It has a primary concentration on student, kids and online ministries. The overall focus is: to create outreach opportunities for students and kids to learn about Jesus; to guide students and children into meaningful relationships with God and others in their community; and to assist in creating and posting our online service content each week. This will be done working alongside the lead pastor and volunteer teams. Additionally, the position will have flexibility to adjust to the gifts and strengths of the candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a part time position, the role consists of 20 hours a week (though this can be negotiated)
- Helping to lead the Pier Youth Ministry. This includes creating opportunities to disciple and mentor youth outside of regular programs.
- Helping to create outreach events and opportunities for youth and kids in the Brockville area.
- Helping to lead the Pier Kidzone Ministry.Helping to develop a volunteer network involving young adults, parents and congregation to come alongside in ministry.
- Helping to create online ministry content such as helping to create and post our online service and also creating social media and email content.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by lead pastor and/or their designate. These will be determined by need as well as gifts and strengths of the candidate. An examples would be serving on our creative team on Sunday mornings.
