Update on Covid-19: March 14, 2020

We are providing a further update relating to Emmanuel’s response to the COVID-19 situation. As previously stated, our goal is to preserve and protect the academic experience and safety of the College community and workplace environment. In light of this and the ever-changing context in which we find ourselves we have decided to move all college classes to an online format for the remainder of the 2020 winter semester through Populi beginning Monday March 16, 2020.

It may take a few days to make the necessary arrangements and for faculty to make adjustments to their courses. Please look for specific emails from faculty regarding details of each course. You will also be given information regarding how to access your courses through Populi. This arrangement will be in place for the remainder of the semester. Details regarding final exams will be shared at a later date.

During this period the campus will remain open and all offices will remain staffed. Staff will continue to report to work and campus services will remain open including the library and food services. The residence will remain open but anyone wishing to move out and return home can do so. Chapel services will be cancelled for the remainder of the semester.

The Admissions Office will remain open but the Open House planned for March 19, 2020 is cancelled. Contact Chantal Martin at cmartin@emmanuelbiblecollege.ca  for more details.

Given recommendations from many agencies to limit and avoid large gatherings of people, we are announcing that the graduation event planned for May 2, 2020 will be postponed to the fall. A new date will be announced as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time as we respond to an ever-changing situation surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic.
