What’s the Difference?

  • Global-cultural Education

The world begins at our front doors. Emmanuel is committed to a plan to bring the world on campus and students to the world.

  • Cross-cultural Expertise

All of our programs open students to the reality of our changing world and are geared to provide insight into ministering and working in multicultural and cross-cultural settings.

  • Missional Education

We are called to be disciples of Christ and the calling of a disciple is to make other disciples. From year one, all Emmanuel students will have opportunities to develop practical real-life experience in reaching and discipling others for Christ.

  • Distance Education Options

Emmanuel Bible College and Rocky Mountain College of Calgary are partnering together to offer the PATHWAYS program that permits courses and degrees to be taken in the most flexible manner possible. Individuals may choose to study at home while churches, camps, and other ministries may create learning centres to offer accredited training. In addition, for adults interested in specialized short-course distance and/or workshop based practical training, options will be coming online over the year.

  • Integrating LearningFrom Partners

Emmanuel is developing a network of partners who provide specialized education used in a variety of ways in college programs. One example of this would be the Christian and Missionary Alliance “PATHWAYS” pastoral ministry program. Another partner provides certification as an addictions counselor through the CACCF. There is an open door to add partners who can provide valuable training to students.

#DYK that in 1964 #OTD the Fergus Ave campus of @EBCollege was officially dedicated. It used to be the camp ground of the United Missionary Church. The site remains a place for ministry training and theological education.

Today ended with a scheduled meeting with my board chair. So grateful for the work of our board who provide governance oversight to @EBCollege. I begin my vacation tomorrow, looking forward to a few weeks away.

This day in Emmanuel history, Edna Pridham died June 26, 1972 in Nigeria, the first @EBCollege graduate to go into overseas missions. Our library is named after her. #myemmanuel @WorldPartnersCa @EMCofCanada
